Welcome to ASM's Toy Fair 2008 Coverage! To the left is a list of companies we either have visited or expect to visit. Hover over each company -- if you see it change color, that means our coverage is ready.

To the right, you'll see our E-mail address. Use it to contact us with any questions you have. Also, our schedule is listed there as well. We have appointments with a number of companies, and we also will walk-up to other companies as time permits.

And, of course, this main section is our running blog. As we update galleries, you'll see the day and time of each update listed below, so you'll always know how fresh our news is.

Sit down and buckle yourself in -- it's time to take the ride for another year. Thanks for visiting!

Big Thanks To Adam Pawlus - We here at ASM would like to give a shout out to Adam Pawlus of and! If you aren't listening to Adam's Entertainment Earth/ podcast, you're missing out on a great combination of news, reviews and snark about the things you need to know about. Hit up and subscribe right now. Why are we mentioning this? Adam was kind enough to mention ASM on both the February 22 and 29 podcasts as the place to go for Toy Fair 2008 pictures. Aw, we're blushing, Adam. Thanks for the mention; we love the podcast. And for the record, "more than a thousand pictures" is right, but a bit of a low estimate - try 4,202 images. Keep up the podcasts; we're proud to be part of your 8 listeners.

Hey, that's what he claims his listenership is; who are we to dispute that?

Image Linking Note: - This year has been absolutely huge for us -- we've put up over 4000 images, and we're getting more hits and data transfer than ever before, and we thank you for visiting. However, because we're serving so many HTML pages, for so many people, we've had to disabled image hot linking. What this means is that if you wish to link to us, please link to either the main Toy Fair 2008 page, the main gallery page, or, at the very least, the HTML page of the image you want to share. Hey, we still provide Toy Fair pictures without any advertising, so please help us keep our costs down. Thanks!

02/21/2008 - 9:52pm - Tons of new press kit images are up! Check out a whole boatload of Hasbro toys!

02/21/2008 - 1:22am - Two new press kit galleries are up! First, for Bandai, we missed some images yesterday. Feast your eyes on Power Rangers! And Jakks Pacific was kind enough to pass along images of their WWE Action Figures!

02/20/2008 - 12:20am - And now we finish our Mattel's Boys' lines galleries! We have pictures for Disney/Pixar's Cars, Matchbox and Hot Wheels and Speed Racer!

02/20/2008 - 12:10am - Finishing off our Barbie press kit galleries, we have the following available for viewing: Barbie Day2Nite, Barbie I Can Be, Barbie iDesign, Barbie Mariposa, Barbie Peekaboo Petites, Barbie Splash Style Mermaid, Barbie Talk To Me Doll, Barbie Totally Hair and more in Barbie Miscellaneous!

02/19/2008 - 11:04pm - While we did not get a tour of Mattel's Girls' Toys line, we were given press kit images for Barbie. We've got five galleries ready, with more on the way. Check out Barbie and the Diamond Castle, Barbie Candy Glam, Barbie Girls, Barbie Grease, Barbie Unlockets and Barbie Miscellaneous!

02/19/2008 - 10:25pm - Next up we have two galleries of press kit images from Bandai:
This year, Bandai's brining new Ben-10 toys to you. Action figures, playsets, roll-play toys, and more help bring the cartoon fun home to your kid! See the dozens of photos in the gallery!

Blue Dragon is an anime based off the Blue Dragon RPG for the Xbox 360. The line will contain figures with action features, mini-statues and more! Check them out in the gallery!

02/19/2008 - 09:50pm - Our first update for the night includes several of Mattel's Boys' Toys lines and one of Barbie:
Barbie DC features America's most iconic doll as two of DC's heroines! See Barbie as Supergirl and Black Canary in the gallery!

DC SuperFriends is a line for the younger kids that features all their favorite DC Superheroes! These smaller figures pack big fun in a more kidified look; the young ones will love them!

We covered DC Universe is chock-full of your favorite DC Superheroes as well! This brand includes both battling game pieces and a new 3 3/4" action figure line. The Justice League Unlimited line, recently announced to become a collector-focused Target-exclusive series, was not on display. The 3 3/4" line is called Infinite Heroes and promises to deliver lots of DC characters. And DCU also includes their continuing larger-scale figure line, with sculpts by the Four Horsemen. Check all of this out in the gallery!

The Dark Knight is coming out in time for, what else, the new Batman summer blockbuster movie! This line has two figure assortments -- one is a standard playline; the other is a more collector-focused one with movie-accurate sculpts by the Four Horsemen team and "prop" accessories. Plus, there's a kid-line that includes figures of Firefly and Deathstroke, who do not appear in the movie. See them all in the gallery!

Kung-Fu Panda is a new animated movie from Dreamworks that hits theaters this June. Check out figures of the stars in our gallery!

02/19/2008 - 06:05pm - A note to the Barbie collector community:
Although we tried our best, Mattel was unfortunately not able to schedule a tour for us to visit the Girls' Toys showroom. We will be uploading the press images that they sent to us, but apart from those and the DC Comics Barbie dolls, we will not have Mattel Girls coverage this year. We apologize to you, our readers, and we hope that next year we will once again be able to cover Mattel Girls' toys for you.

02/19/2008 - 12:15am - Like we said below, that's it for new galleries for tonight. Tomorrow -- Bandai and Mattel!

02/19/2008 - 12:02am - And to end the night, we have these galleries for you:
Delta Children's Products is a company that deals with licensed product. We were able to see pictures of their upcoming Transformers movie and Transformers Animated items! Later this year you'll be seeing chairs, clothes hangers, picture frames, toy organizers, bookends, wall art and more -- all of these featuring images of your favorite Transformers! Check them out in the gallery!

KIDdesigns features educational toys and other fun things for the younger Transformers fans! Their Laptops feature games like hangman, word jumbles, letter matching, and others and also teaches letters, rhymes and spelling. It's a great way for kids to learn and have fun doing it! And when it's play time, their Transformers Walkie Talkies will let your kids talk to each other as they explore their world. Check out the gallery for the pics!

We covered Wild Republic last year as they showcased their line of toys featuring the late Steve Irwin. This year, his daughter Bindi takes the stage with the Bindi's Australia zoo line of toys! In addition, Wild Republic will produce other animal toys and animal plush, all in the name of promoting conservation and education! Check out all the animals in the gallery!

And just because we could, we started a Miscellaneous Toy Fair image gallery.

02/18/2008 - 09:45pm - More new galleries for you:
Corgi International includes Master Replicas. Check out the new Muppets Puppet Figures! Kermit and Animal are out, Gonzo is shipping now, and Fozzie is next in line. Miss Piggy is likely to be the next item in the line, but there might be a new one before she is released. Also check out the Walt Disney Showcase, the Star Trek Replicas, items from the Super Mario line of games, and more. And check out H2Go -- it's a line of hydrogen-powered R/C cars. Pour water into the tank, and it is converted into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen is dispersed into the air, and the hydrogen powers the car. Higher-end models come with additional solar panels. Hey, can we get this for our normal cars? Well, while you dream of that day, check all of this and more in our two galleries!

DC Unlimited features awesome DC Comics statues and busts, as well as the really cool Justice League of America Trophy Room items! And gamers, be sure to check out the World of Warcraft items! And Ame-Comi features your favorite DC Heroines in anime-style statues! Check them and more all out in both our galleries!
Some additional DC Unlimited notes: The Batsignal replica will be made of metal and can project a bat symbol about 16 feet. The Joker cane has a concealed "gas nozzle". The Superman cape has a hidden pocket for glasses. The 13" 1/6-scale Green Lantern was so popular that they're bringing it out again with a new, classic costume and three alternate heads packed in. The third wave of World of Warcraft figures was shown, but could not be photographed. It includes a male Forsaken (undead) Rogue, male Blood Elf Blood Knight (paladin), female Human Priest (white and gold robe with wings, jet-black skin) and female Draenei Mage. Boxed figure was not shown, but will be a male Tauren Hunter. Whether he'll have a pet hasn't been decided. And if you're a fan of Minimates, the ones shown are the last in the line -- unless you want to see more (and we certainly do). Let DC Unlimited know that you want more Minimates!

Our second time with Diamond Select Toys gave us quite the scoop. As far as we can tell, we are the only site with pictures of the new Civil War Minimates! It wasn't on display in their showrooom, but it was in a store window down the block as part of a promotion. Which side of the Marvel Universe will you be on? Also be sure to check out the myriad offerings of items from Transformers, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (both original and modern) and other movie properties! Be sure to visit both galleries at the above link!
Some additional notes about Diamond Select Toys: Iron Man and Hulk movie Minimates were shown, but they could not be photographed. Although present in the lobby display, the classic Battlestar Galactica vehicles are still not being produced. Ghost Rider movie Minimates are on hold and might be reconfigured rather than entirely cancelled. Some additional Star Trek items, such as a Tricorder prop replica, were shown but could not be photographed.

Ah, Gentle Giant, is there nothing that you don't do beautifully? We don't think so. Whether it's your Star Wars statues, busts, chess sets and other items, your Lord of the Rings statues, your Disney statues (Ratatouille and Pirates of the Caribbean), your Harry Potter busts, your Wizard of Oz busts, your Bust-Ups -- aw, heck, we could just keep going. Trust us, you want to visit both our galleries!

Kotobukiya makes excellent, high quality figures of various properties. Check out Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Iron Man, Spider-Man Halo and more in our two galleries!

02/17/2008 - 10:54pm - Spin Master is bringing over the popular Bakugan toys. Many were made for Caniadian promotions, but because the orders for Bakugan in general were so high in the United States, clear ones were made to boost the stock of the normal ones. They're not incredibly rare chases; in fact, the clear ones have proven to be so popular, they're going to still be produced. There will be 48 Bakugan types in Series 1; new ones like the Phoenix are coming soon. The Deka Bakugan will contain more powerful figures in larger style figures. And Storm Hawks is continuing, with the show returning to an afternoon timeslot, and female characters will hit in 2009! Spin Master Gallery

The Kutiez were designed as part of that brand, but will be officially released without the Mystikats moniker. And for the boys, Playhut has the WowBotz! Playhut Gallery
